Becca Attended camp growing up and won the summer program's scholarship in high school. This past year was her first year as a counselor and she played tennis at Aquinas College this spring. We worked together on the middle tier with middle and high schoolers this summer at the Eastern High School site.
Nathan: When did you first start attending TMDF?
Becca: When i was 9
N: What was it like transitioning from a camper to a counselor?
B: It was definitely weird seeing the other side of the camp but its fun. The counselors were always my favorite part of the camp so now i get to try to make it fun for the kids
N: Did you have any favorite drills as a camper that you got to lead as a counselor?
B: Approach shot, volley, overhead and Pac-man
N: What is the most rewarding part about being a counselor?
B: Passing on and teaching tennis which is something that i am so passionate about
N: How did TMDF help you end up playing college tennis?
B: It was the first time i had ever played tennis so it started it all. it gave me my jumpstart and love for the sport
